Bill amendment
In England a Bill amendment is a change to the wording to a parliamentary Bill or a motion that is proposed by an MP or member of the House of Lords. In general a bill amendment may refer to any change in a bill, resolution, or memorial, a committee amendment is an amendment proposed in a committee meeting. It can in some cases also refer to an amendment of an invoice.
According to the UK parliament glossary of terms "An amendment is a change to the wording of a Bill or a motion that is proposed by an MP or member of the House of Lords. Consideration of Amendments is the name for what is often the final stage of Bill. When a Bill has been passed by one House but then is amended by the other House, those amendments must be considered by the first House. There may be some to-ing and fro-ing between the Houses before a final version of the Bill is agreed." https://www.parliament.uk/site-information/glossary/amendments/
